Some of Paul’s collection!
I can think of nothing better than a cross country American road trip in a vintage caravan.
There’s something nostalgic and romantic about a road trip but we want to do it in vintage style!
This is where Paul Lacitinola comes in.
He is a collector of vintage camper trailers, although he happened upon this love purely by chance.
Having always been a classic car guy, it was a chance buy of an old caravan and writing an article about restoring it that opened the door to the vintage camper trailer community.
Paul did everything himself on his first 1962 Deville trailer, including hand polishing the finish. And if you want to know how it’s first rally went you’ll have to take a listen because it’s a story best told by Paul!

The passion quickly become a family one and as Paul met others who loved classic cars and vintage caravans he knew he’d found his people.
So he started attending rallies across the country, organising his own near his home town in California and watched the vintage trailer seen flourish.
From just a few camper trailers and enthusiasts, rallies now book out in the United States a year in advance with hundreds of people travelling many kilometers or miles to attend!
