Ladies and gentlemen this is your captain speaking. Please ensure your seams are straight, hat is in the upright position and that you are ready for the ride of your life.

It’s time to meet The Flying Pinup.

Miss Kelly - The Flying Pinup (Crown)

She loves old clothes, old cars and old planes!

Kelly is as comfortable on stage as she is riding in a vintage war bird.

So it’s not surprising this been reflected in her pinup persona.

Her partner is one lucky fellow who spends his days working on beautiful old planes, and Kelly gets to experience all their glory in the air.

She says it’s such a privilege and can often be quite an emotional experience as you realize what these planes would have seen, the pilots that may have flown them during horrific war events and the knowledge that you are helping their story live on.

And every now and then she gets her hands dirty, being taught how to fix up parts of the old machines.

Kelly made sure that when she was inspired to dress like Rosie the Riveter for a pinup competition, that it didn’t stop at fashion.

She had someone teach her how to rivet!

Kelly is passionate about supporting vintage air events around Australia and would love to see more women as part of the scene.
